OMG - Shit On My Mind - Stinkin' Thinkin'

Curse words are harsh.  If you aim them at someone, they may sting.  I think that the worst thing you can say to someone is to tell him/her to go to Hell.  I thought I would never say those words to anybody - even my worst enemies, but yesterday, I wrote it out on a money-order to whoever charged me bogus charges included with my rent bill.  To make a long story short, I am a victim of a mightier power than me and we all know the saying that "might makes right".  Justice?  I just don't want to get hurt any further.  They can take my money & go to Hell seven times over to infinity for all I care.  They may not care about my "words" which is all I really have but, maybe my words will, sometime down the line, cut like a knife, smash like a hammer, pierce like a bullet, and explode like dynamite!!  Fuck them.

Random Observations, Comments, & Opinions

I've got a day off from school because of the snow up here in the north-eastern part of the U.S. so I get to blog for a change.

On Play
I think that most adults need to find time to play.  The saying goes, work hard - play hard.  You shouldn't play hard, you should play lite & easy with an emphasis on fun & carefreeness.  Work requires that you "win".  Some time, play time, should be afforded you to -- not to be so serious.  A time of "who cares", fuck it, my time!  Play time, you're the boss (side note: new female boss at GM - wow), you call the shots, your world, your time, have fun.  Enough on play.

A Personal Action
I felt I needed a change so I was going to pay to have my tongue re-pierced (I had a tongue ring a few years back but I took it out because of irritation).  I decided to save money & do it my self.  I got a nail from my tool-box and   -- boom --  re-pierced tongue.  I put my old ring back in.  I didn't know that piercings are done with surgical steel tools until after the fact.  I cleaned & sterilized my tongue on day two so I should be okay.  I forgot that it takes six months for the tongue to fully heal (thank you Wikipedia) so I'll be in for a little discomfort for a while.

Debt Challenger
I miss her.  She still has old videos on YouTube posted last time I checked a little while ago but it isn't the same.

Nelson Mandela
Good man.  He will be remembered.

Eagles
Five game winning streak.  Since Dallas lost on Monday night, the Eagles are in first place in the division.  E-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES!

Alcohol & Tobacco
My old whisky, Early Times, use to be cheap in price.  The price was raise by three dollars a little while ago for a one liter bottle.  I'm now trying Harwood Canadian whisky.  I personally don't think it tastes as good as E.T. but you can't beat the price so Harwood Canadian is my new alcohol of choice.  I love me some Winstons but, because of price, I smoke Eagles20s at a price of $6.15 a pack on the regular.  I will splurge occasionally.

Movie
Saw Rocky III.  It has been a while since I saw it the first time.  I don't remember it being this good.  Recommended!  Eye Of The Tiger.  I have II and III.  I need I (one).  Maybe I'll gift myself this Christmas with a used copy of Rocky I.

It is a little after 5am.  I have to go back to sleep.

Talk to you later.

Peace

S.O.A.B. !

Patrick passed away a few days after I got him.  I didn't know him well so I don't feel too bad.  I got what I call "the group of thirty-one plus".  I paid for ten feeder guppies but I got a little over thirty-five of them.  They seem happy now even though two or three of them passed away.  So far so good (other than the few deaths).

I have some random pictures plus pictures of my fish.  I hope you like the pics.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.  Don't shop too hard on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Loss In The Family

Someone in my family recently died.  I feel kind of bad.  Casper, one of my fish, who lived in the bottom tank of my apartment passed away the other day.  It might not be a "big deal" to others but Casper was my friend.  He started just sitting on the filter the last few days of his life.  I thought he was depressed but maybe he was sick.  Anyway, I hope he is in fish Heaven having a good time.  I think the filter was defective which may have lead to his death.  Jolene's tank is crystal clear but Casper's tank was a little cloudy.  I replaced the filter and bought another "friend".  The fish cost eleven cents but he is alive.  My mom named him.  Patrick is the new member of my family.  Patrick hides like Casper did but hopefully he is okay.  I didn't see him this morning but maybe he is there somewhere.  Still a little sad but life goes on.

Peace.

Yeah Man!

I just saw the first episode of the new Fox police drama "Almost Human".  I thought it was good.  When the detective pushed his first android partner out of the moving car I was shocked a little. Even though this android didn't have "the soul" that humans and Dorian had, he still should of had rights.  He may not have been sentient but the possibility could of occurred in his future through upgrades and technological improvements.  Some people in the past thought that black people were just animals.  Some people in the past thought Asians had no souls.  Life is a mystery.  Most, if not all, should have respect.  Just talkin'.  Being feelowsofical today.  Bayoya - - - -.

P.S.  Future technology as envisioned in this show looks pretty sophisticated.  Movie-caliber effects.  Was ILM involved in this production in any way?   Talk to me.

Random Pics + A Few Words

Your ring.

Ring I saw at Walmart for $14.00 .  Get appraisal S.

See ya later.  If you want to contact me, hit me up in the comments or email me.  (Un-manly tears rolling down face) I love you D.C.  I'll never forget you (leaves apartment to go buy rocky-road ice cream to eat away the pain with intermittent cigarette breaks to prevent weight gain).

I had to express my sadness/anger.  Laugh if off & don't take it seriously.

A post on a day off from school week.

Jeeezzzzzuussss!!

I have not been blogging a lot lately but I just came on-line and found that Shawnna removed her blog (ChallengerDebt) from the blogosphere.  Things change.  Stuff happens.  There is a beginning and there is an end.

Damn!

So long Ms. Debt Challenger.

One of my written goals is to fly to Atlanta and meet Shawnna and her husband in person.  It will not happen any time soon but the goal will remain active and one day, when it is least expected, I will find them and say...Hello, how are you guys doing?

May God bless them.

I Am Weak

I have money for gas and one lottery ticket.  I fail.  I order pizza for delivery.  Will I be able to drive tomorrow?  Will I be able to go to school for the rest of the week?  Will I be able to survive for the next three to four days on ramen noodles?  OMG.  Thank You.

P.S.  Barkley in for Foles, 4th quarter.  Go Eagles.  17 - 3 Dallas so far.  Looks bleak.

Chump-Change Money Talk

I just got my copy of this year's Forbes 400 magazine where they list the 400 richest Americans    & William (Bill) Henry Gates III is the richest American again for the "umpteenth" time.  Mr. Warren Buffett, the number two guy, is pictured on the cover.  I drove to my local B&N and they didn't have any copies left so I drove to a news agency in my father's  "neck of the woods" & acquired my edition for the royal sum of $7.48 with tax.  I'm glad I got it but the price broke this camel's back.  I'm going to have to perform magic to cover two up-coming automatic payments from my checking account or be hit with an over-draft fee.  I can bet that my credit-score is crap already so this will not help me if I fail.  Wish me luck.  Abracadabra, hocus-pocus, cash come to my account, in real real focus!!!

B.O.P.

P.S.  The thing is, Bill Gates was so rich that at one point he gave away half (50%) of his wealth to good causes and he is still number one on the list with a good lead on Mr. Buffett.  It kind of doesn't matter, but, it kinda does.  If winning didn't matter, no one would keep score.  Just repeatin' something someone once said.  Just sayin'.

Show & Fair

I was on my way to the Saturday church thrift store when I passed by a closed street.  This town was having a Corvette show.  It was mostly a fair of sorts because the first section of street had a few vettes and the much longer section of the street past the rail-road tracks had shop vendors on both sides congregated by tons of people.  I stopped by, looked at the cars up front, took a few photos then left.  I had no time or money to par-take of the festivities but I did see the cars.  A few pictures are below.

Have a good week everyone.

Weather

This area of the country has had and will have for the foreseeable future BEAUTIFUL weather.  It has been mostly clear, sunny & in the 70's for a while now.  Not too hot and not too cold.  God is giving us some love.  Thank you God.  If I could now win a megamillions jackpot, things would be extremely rosy (maybe a little too rosy for real life but I would be thankful).

What government shutdown???

May God bless The United States Of America.

Stuff From Last Week

I started auto tech school.  I've been to three classes so far & I think things should go okay.  The professor has experience in the field.  He is very knowledgeable from listening to him in class.  I will learn a lot.  Look at the size of the issued books!!!

Carrying these bad boys WILL give me a work-out mentally and physically.  We will be issued uniforms too.  I would rather wear my own clothes but I can go with the program.  On the last day of the first week we got to go into the shop.  We went in by ourselves to locate and label certain items in the shop, mostly safety items, on a map.  There were a few vehicles on lifts in the shop.  The shop was clean and well organized.  I think it could use a little more lighting being that the adults work at night.  I did see a full-sized house oven in the shop.  I don't think it belongs in there but there is probably a good reason for it being in there.  The experience should be educational.

Car Watch

Older Mustang in good condition.

New Nissan Z.  The owner said he had it on a track & drove it up to 200 mph.  I called him out & said bullshit but he said it was true.  I still don't believe him.  A production street-car doing 200 mph??  Doubtful.  Anyway, it looks good & I know it can go faster than your average car.  If I owned it, I would drive it once then give it to my girlfriend.  I'm a little too tall for a Z on a daily basis.

Got to see the movie Flight starring Denzel Washington & directed by Robert Zemeckis.  I really didn't want to see the movie (on DVD) which is why my attention was on it only about 27% (my mom wanted to see it) but I did focus on the beginning of the movie when the stewardess was walking around in the hotel room naked.  She had a beautiful, slammin' body & pretty face.  She  walked a little, then put on a thong then walked topless a little more.  She was so hot that after visiting my mom, I went home & viewed that scene a couple of more times.  I may be a little bit of a pervert but hey, it's human nature.  She was a "dream woman".  Gee, I want to be a pilot if pilots roll like that!

Have a good week people.
Peace

Night School

If things go as planned, I should be starting my auto technician training this Tuesday.  Three nights a week, four hours a night, lasting about nine months.  If things work out, I will get a job as a mechanic some time in mid to late 2014.

My fantasy of becoming the first trillionaire is way out the window so I have to settle for what I can scrape up especially since my low-low-low savings rate of a penny a day will really get me no where.  If I have school success, I may be able to increase my savings but working for the money will leave me way-shy of my dream.

Anyway, being that I will be a little busy, my blog posts will be rare to none coming the next several months.  There are others in the blogosphere so you have my permission to stray, cheat, par-take of other people's blogs.  Come back from time to time to check in please.  Thanks for reading.

Sincerely,

Momentous Life-Altering Exchanges

I was an undeclared major entering college.  I was verbal weak and math strong.  I asked a chemistry professor, intending to major in chemistry, if I should proceed because I got a D in calculus I in my freshman year to which he responds saying that I should probably not pursue a chemistry degree.  I took his advice and now I'm definitely not a chemist!

"Work"  -  making a living and making a life by Joshua Halberstam, Ph.D.

THE FIRE IN THE BELLY:  A PARABLE

A young aspiring violinist manages to get an audition with the great master.  He takes out his violin and plays for an hour.  At the end of the session, the master says to the young man, "I'm sorry, but I suggest you choose some other career.  Your technical skills are fine, but you lack the essential fire in the belly."  Disheartened the young man gives up on becoming a professional musician and instead goes to medical school.  He does well there and goes on to have a prosperous and fulfilling career in medicine.

Our story picks up twenty years later at a party when our successful doctor again meets the great violinist, now old but still vibrant.  He reminds him that they had met many years before when he auditioned for the master.  "I've always meant to ask you.  You suggested that I should not pursue a career as a violinist because I didn't have the fire in the belly.  How did you know?"

"I didn't," the maestro answers.  "I say that every time anyone auditions for me."

"But how could you?"  The doctor is flabbergasted.  "Suppose it wasn't me, but a future Jascha Heifetz or Itzhak Perlman or some new great talent you'd be discouraging?"

"You don't understand," explains the master.  "When they have the fire in their belly, they don't care what I say."

I got hosed!!  You really have to sometimes defy authority to get what you want.  Under certain circumstances "breaking the law" may be a good thing.  All advice and guidance is not good.  Just sayin'.

Words & Pictures

Back in the day, I was taking these products to help keep me "going".  These were on the market before 5 Hour Energy, Monster, and Red Bull.  I guess this revelation kind of dates me as to my age.  Oh well, not too old I don't think.

Southern Knights is an off comic that I got out of the 25 cent box at my local comic shop.  One particular reader may appreciate it (not naming names).

Wild mushrooms that I've encountered in my travels.  Yummy???

Vehicles

My cars under water - this has never happened before for the 17 years that I have lived in my apartment complex.  Wow.  Got lucky, they still run thank God.

Saw this event outside my local library.  I didn't know ants ate meat.

A couple of days of trinket trash treasure.

A book I just bought.  Partly into it, it sounds good but I think a better read would be "Eat Or Be Eaten" by Phil Porter.  Mr. Porter's book is more hard-core where as Mr. Wild's book starts out on the process as games & not a deadly war which I think it is.  If you get axed from your job and you have to go a few days without food you will realize this is no joke.  Just sayin'.

BEER IN MY HOUSE!  OH HAPPY DAY!!!
